More Rushmoor councillors
A request has been received from Frensham Parish Council for an increase in the number
of parish councillors for the Rushmoor Ward of Frensham Parish, from two to three.
Currently there are two wards within Frensham Parish, Frensham with four members and Rushmoor with two.The elector to councillor ratio for Frensham Ward of Frensham Parish is currently 190 whereas for the Rushmoor Ward the ratio is 283. Therefore, increasing the number of councillors by one would create better equality across the whole Parish.
Any representations should be made in writing, not later than 21st of November and sent to:

Waverley can carry out the review of this proposal but has to seek the approval of the Electoral Commission, a national body set up by government to oversee electoral matters.
Waverley Members have agreed to try to conclude the review in time for it to be put in place for the May 2007 parish elections. However, this will depend ultimately on Electoral Commission approval.
