Frensham celebrated the May Bank Holiday weekend 2008 with its third Scarecrow Festival.
There were 54 scarecrows along Shortfield Common Road and around the Common itself, each one illustrating a different well-known song.
The sun shone most of the weekend, bringing in a record number of visitors, and over £3000 was raised for new refrigerators and freezers for Frensham community shop.
