The Surrey County Council Fifield Lane (D113) and Moons Hill (D113) Frensham Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2022

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to

(1) prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the following lengths of road -
(a) that length of Fifield Lane (D113) Frensham as extends from its junction with the access to the property known as "Stoneacres" to its junction with (D114) Kennel Lane/Hamlash Lane and (D113) Moons Hill. Alternative Route – A287 Frensham Road; and Kennel Lane; and
(b) that length of Moons Hill (D113) Frensham as extends from its junction with (D114) Kennel Lane/Hamlash Lane and (D113) Fifield Lane to its junction with the north western access to "More House School". Alternative Route – Moons Hill; Summerfield Lane; Broomfields Lane; West End Lane; and Hamlash Lane; and

(2) (a) Suspend "The Surrey County Council Fifield Lane (D113) Frensham Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2022" in its entirety; and
(b) suspend “The Surrey County Council Fifield Lane (D113) Frensham Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2021” in its entirety.

The Order is required to allow desilting works and/or telecoms maintenance works to be carried out by, or on behalf of C8TM within the length of road described in this notice. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 4 days between the hours of 8am and 5pm within the 12-month period of operation of the Temporary Order that commences on 30 August 2022. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road including access by emergency vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists. During certain phases of the works, vehicular access to premises may be restricted, when this is the case such restriction of access will apply for no more than eight hours within any 24-hour period.

The Surrey County Council Various Roads in Hindhead, Tilford and Frensham Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2022

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the following lengths of road –

(a) that length of Tilford Street (D104) Tilford as extends from its junction with (D104) Green Lane to its junction with (D102) Squires Hill Lane. Alternative Route - Tilford Street; Tilford Road; Thursley Road; Pitch Place; Thursley Road; and Farnham Road;

(b) that length of Clovelly Road (D5502) Hindhead as extends its junction with (C28) Tilford Road to its junction with (D5502) Downside. Alternative Route - Tilford Road; Beacon Hill Road; Hill Road; and Clovelly Road;

(c) that length of Kingswood Lane (D5506) Hindhead as extends its junction with the access to the property known as "Moon Cottage" to its junction with Public Bridleway No.578 Haslemere. There is no applicable alternative route; and

(d) that length of Woodhill Lane (D118) Frensham as extends its junction with (C26) Shortfield Common Road to its junction with the access to the property known as "Spreakfield". Alternative Route - Shortfield Common Road; Hamlash Lane; West End Lane; Summer Hill Lane; and Woodhill Lane.

This Order, which will commence on 16 October 2022 for a period of 12 months is required because works are being, or are proposed to be, executed on or near the said roads, to be carried out by or on behalf of BT Openreach, including but not limited to: arboriculture works and/or telegraph pole replacement works and/or new telegraph pole installation works and/or overhead cabling works and/or underground fibre jointing works and/or telecoms maintenance works.

The works in part (a) are anticipated to be carried out over 1 day between the hours of 8am and 4pm commencing 16 October 2022; the works in part (c) are anticipated to be carried out over 3 days between the hours of 8am and 6pm commencing 17 October 2022; the works in part (d) are anticipated to be carried out over 1 day between the hours of 8am and 6pm commencing 19 October 2022; and the works in part (e) are anticipated to be carried out over 1 day between the hours of 9am and 4pm commencing 21 October 2022.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closures will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. For parts (a), (b), (c), and (e) access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access to premises within the affected length of road including access by emergency vehicles to these properties will be maintained only when safe to do so via operatives on site. For part (d) access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times, vehicular access to properties will be maintained however, vehicles will be required to wait whilst the poling vehicle is moved before access can be provided. During certain phases of the works, vehicular access to premises may be restricted, when this is the case such restriction of access will apply for no more than eight hours within any 24-hour period.
