Alice Holt Community Forum
The Alice Holt Community Forum consists of representatives from each of the parish councils (including Frensham), communities and villages that surround Alice Holt Forest, and from the Forestry Commission. Its members have considerable cumulative knowledge of Alice Holt Forest and the surrounding area and meet regularly. The objective of the Forum is to provide an efficient means whereby the Forestry Commission and local communities can exchange views on matters relating to the management of the Forest.
Under the auspices of the Forum, and working closely with the Forestry Commission, the South Downs National Park Authority, Hampshire County Council and Binsted Parish Council, a group of volunteers is working to restore the old arboretum in Lodge Inclosure with the aim of providing a place of quiet recreation for enjoyment of trees, plants, birds and butterflies.
